It’s a new year… and the third year I’ve been posting articles on this blog.
Here’s a picture of Barry and I last night, getting ready to head out on the town and ring in the new year together.
Why do we approach the New Year as a new beginning, when any month, any week, any day, and in fact any moment can be a new beginning if we choose to let it be?
Mainly because it’s convenient, and because it’s metaphorical.
The year begins now because some people many years ago decided that it would. But we know that the Chinese New Year is in a few weeks, and Jewish New Year is in the fall, so it’s really not about the actual day or time of year.
But when we change the year that we write or see every day — on letters, on emails, on calendars, on checks — we feel like it’s a new start, a new reality.
And we know that the FEELING is the most important thing when it comes to manifesting the reality you want to create.
So how can you create the 2008 that you want to have?

I just had a visit from a pair of chickadees outside my office window (they’re fast, but we managed to capture proof to the right).
We hung a bird feeder a few weeks back, just after I had seen a little bird hopping around the balcony beside my desk. But it seemed like we weren’t going to be getting any bird visitors this season, because it just hung there with no action at all.
Finally this morning they came, chirping and taking turns flying up to get a beakfull of seeds, then flitting away again.
So it turns out that, once again, I learn that patience is a virtue. It was definitely worth it to see the happy little birds.
And they’re my mom’s favorite bird, too… her name is Dee, and when she was little she discovered that they call her name: “Chick-a-dee-dee-dee-dee”!
Just like when we’re manifesting something — we can’t expect it to show up right away.
Everything has a gestation period, and comes when the circumstances are right, not when you THINK you want it.
Apparently the gestation period for chickadees is a few weeks!

Barry and I spent the past few nights doing a powerful ceremony called a “Relationship or Wedding Blessing”.
It was given to us for Christmas “from Cupid”… in fact, we gave each other and ourselves as a couple several gifts with tags that said “from The Universe” or “from Cupid”.
It’s a great way to deal with the fact that, if you’re like me, you often see things that you yourself would like when Christmas shopping for other people. But if it was something we knew both of us would like, we gave it to both of us “from the Universe.”
I picked it up from a local metaphysical store, but it comes from EyeOfTheDay.com.
They have a lot of little ceremony kits, actually… but if you’d like to do it on your own, from scratch, here’s how to do it…

Today, Barry and I released our latest free talking e-book… it’s called The Secrets of Manifesting, and it features a compelling, revealing and powerful 2-on-2 interview with Jafree Ozwald and Margot Zaher.
One of my favorite things that we talked about was the roller coaster of life, why we ride it (and why it’s not something to get off of), and how to transcend that ride.
Every time I get frustrated with something now, or when Barry and I are dealing with a stumbling block, we just put our hands in the air and yell, “Wheeee!”
You’ll have to listen to the talking e-book (or read it) to understand completely what I’m talking about, but I found it very profound. A lot of the conversation also reminded me of conversations Barry and I have had with people like Robert Scheinfeld, Mike Dooley, Bill Harris and others, revolving around why we’re here and what the purpose of life is.
There are also a lot of great tips on how to meditate better, and how to manifest things faster and easier than ever before.

I found an interesting article in Redbook, written by Nicole Yorio, called “Cold and flu? Not you!” that seemed appropriate for this time of year.
I’m just going to paraphrase what she wrote… but some darned good advice here!
1. Get a Massage
Apparently massage lowers levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which destroys immune cells… nice, another reason to love treating myself to massages!
(Besides the fact that it’s a great way to feel pampered, special, worthy of luxury and incredibly grateful — all powerful manifesting emotions.)
How much massage do you need?

Barry and I have been watching something quite interesting the past few nights. It’s a DVD course by one of the most successful online marketers around… but that’s not what’s so interesting about it.
Sure, we’ve been learning how to take our business to the next level, which is great. I’ll share some of the most profound things we’ve taken away from it so far in a bit.
But I guess the most interesting thing is something to do with the person, not the actual content.
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson and Oliver Wendell Holmes (attributed to both, depending on the source)
You see, he started online just a few years ago. He knew nothing about internet marketing when he answered a repetitive spam email that kept showing up in his first ever email account, and discovered his first online instructional course.
And by now, I’d be very surprised if you’ve never heard of him. He came on the scene in a small way first, then made a big splash… and it’s just been snowballing since then.
But there’s more to it than that…

You see people walking picket lines, protesting this and that, marching for world peace… and they’re making a difference for the planet, right?
They’re spiritually enlightened, with their hearts in the right places, and they care more about humanity than prosperity.
People like Mother Teresa, Gandhi, and the average Buddhist monk on the hill — people who believe it’s better to give than receive — they’re the ones who will save us from doom and gloom… aren’t they?
And while the activists are saving the world, the starving artists are making it more beautiful.
Anyone who makes a living from their art is just a “sell-out”, whether it’s a musician making money off a TV commercial, or a painter who sells their masterpieces to decorate big corporate head offices.
Right… ???
Umm… hmmm.
What would you say if I told you that was a complete and total “bass-ackwards” (as Barry likes to say) way of thinking?…

Once upon a time, I used to interview celebrities and performers as a TV show host and Arts & Entertainment reporter.
Since I also produced the show, I was able to do it my own way… and that included a look that went against the norm (like funky clothes and long, bright red hair when everyone else on TV current affairs or news shows had short blonde or brunette hair).
I also invented what I call the Show Host Walk-and-Talk when everyone else was sitting or standing… and after I started doing it, a lot of other people followed suit. I love being a trend-setter!
Anyway, over the years — as I moved into radio and then online reporting and interviewing — I thought that I had moved from focusing on success in Arts & Entertainment to success in Business and Metaphysical topics.
But a few days ago someone sent me a link to an online video that features an interview I did 13 years ago, in 1995, with a musican named Peter Morrison.
His band was called Ohm and the Temple of Sound… and after listening to the interview again, I realized I had been dipping my toes in the Metaphysical waters — ready to dive in headfirst another 10 years later.
Funny how our past shapes our present and our future… even when we don’t realize it’s happening.

Woo-hoo… we have another big product launch that just got underway… over at SuperManifestor.com.
Whenever we sell or promote a product like this, we always get people saying, “You shouldn’t sell spiritual information. It should be free for all!” or “Why do people only make money from the law of attraction by selling information about the law of attraction?”
And yes, they say the same thing for internet marketing products… “Why do people only make money online by selling information about how to make money online?”
Well, I’m going to tell you that you can attract wealth to you WITHOUT selling information about how to do it.
And you can make money online WITHOUT selling information about how to make it.
I have seen example, time and time again, of people using metaphysical principles to create wealth, health and happiness in their lives. Far too many examples to list here.
But one thing that set them apart was their mindset and attitude.
Yes, they didn’t have the jaded outlook that “You can only make money at…” or “This is a scam…” or “You should give this away if it works so well…”
So how do we really attract prosperity?

I thought I was interviewing Mike Filsaime (Mr. Butterfly Marketing) for the fifth time today… but it turns out it was the sixth.
It took me almost a year of asking to get him the first time, and that first interview was a year ago… Jan 2007. Which means I’ve averaged an interview with him every two months.
Here’s the breakdown of how it went:
1. For my teleseminar series, Internet Marketing Unwrapped
2. For Brad Callen‘s Elite Sessions teleseminar series
3. For another Brad Callen project
4. For a webinar for Brad Callen‘s customers, to promote the 7 Figure Code
5. For Joel Comm’s Next Internet Millionaire (we did a separate product called The Closed Door Sessions)
6. Today… a follow-up call for Brad Callen‘s 7 Figure Code customers
So what do you ask someone when you’ve interviewed them that many times?
Is it just the same old, same old, every time?
How is it possible to keep it fresh?
