I Can See Clearly Now… Almost!

Today I went to get my eyes checked to see if I qualify for LASIK surgery.

I’m tired of contact lenses that get dust stuck on them, and that get dry and pinch my eyes when I least expect it — causing my eyes to hurt and water like crazy at the most inopportune moments.

And I’m tired of glasses that leave marks on my nose and tug behind my ears.  I got the very lightest pair I could find a year ago, and they still slide down my ski-slope nose.

Not to mention they get all smudged every time Barry hugs me… which means I’m constantly cleaning them off.

So now… yes, I’m a candidate for LASIK, and yes, I’m going to get my eyes fixed… in just over a week.

I can’t wait… because I deserve new eyes.

If we don’t believe we deserve things — a better life, a better job, a better career, a better life partner, better relationships — then we’ll never get there.

But I believe… and I’m doing it!

Yes, there’s some fear — there always is in change.

But if you face your fears, and take the leap anyhow, most of the time you’ll find yourself flying.
