What I Have in Common with Jerry Springer…

Heather Vale and Barry GossNext month, Barry Goss and I are launching a project called Masters of the Secret. We’ve been working on it for months… doing 2-on-1 interviews and compiling our select 1-on1s that we did with teachers featured in “The Secret”.

And finally… FINALLY!… it’s soon going to see the light of day.

When we started the project, and we did most of the interviews, “The Secret” had not yet been shot, or was in the process of shooting, or, in some cases, had launched but had not made a big splash. It was a kind of underground following to begin with.

Then the big media circus came to town. Over on the Masters of the Secret blog, I wrote an article about Larry King, Ellen, Oprah, Montel… and Jerry Springer.

How I Manifested Freedom Day

This weekend I went to Dr. John F. Demartini’s The Breakthrough Experience seminar. Wow… what an experience, and with no pun intended!

I interviewed John for Success Unwrapped last fall, and he walked me through the concepts of The Breakthrough Experience then, as well as sending me the book. And I interviewed him again, this time on video for Masters of the Secret, on Thursday evening.

Barry GossBut none of that prepared me for the power of the live seminar. All weekend I kept getting a-ha moments, and then calling my Masters of the Secret partner, Barry Goss, to tell him what I was learning.

I highly doubt that anybody else I know would have understand what I was saying like Barry did. We’re both immersed in the same topic lately, and have things in common that most people would think was just nuts.

But there’s another role Barry played in my life this weekend; that of co-creator of the end of my employed life, and the start of being a full-time entrepreneur… just the life I’ve been dreaming of.

New Year, New Life?

I feel that I’m almost at the point where I can quit my J.O.B. and move into online marketing full-time. I’m now hiring out my interviewing skills for three times more than I did less than a year ago, and I’ve got enough clients and opportunities and upcoming projects to really make this work.

In fact, I plan to make the move very soon. Unfortunately I mentioned it to my husband and he told me to just keep working. My question is… what’s more important, pleasing him or myself?

Ideally we shouldn’t have to choose. It seems that people we love should support us no matter what we decide. But sometimes we all miss the forest (the big picture) for the trees (the little stuff that doesn’t always have a big impact). The best we can do is remind those around us that the forest will sustain itself even if one tree gets chopped down (now if we start clear-cutting them all, there might be some problems; but I’m talking about just one tree here).
