Why “Marketing” and “Passive Income” Don’t Mix

Over the past few years, the whole concept of creating, running and building an online business has been sliding downhill faster than the Jamaican bobsled team on sleek ice.

And some people who present themselves as teachers are treading on thin ice.

First of all, there’s the trend of people calling themselves “internet marketers” and wearing the label like a badge.

It’s very misleading, because it implies that “marketing” is all you have to do to be successful online; by contrast, most top “internet marketers” have full-fledged businesses, and understand that marketing is only one small piece of the pie…

Don’t Be SCARED Just Because “They” Tell You To

First of all, Happy Halloween!

Secondly, if you’re being inundated with media scare tactics about today (or any day, for that matter), you should know a few things about what really deserves your concern (or not).

My latest post on the LWL Worldwide blog expands on that, with some help from a few resources: Why Wealthier is Healthier and Regulation Kills.

Remember, worry is a heavy and unproductive load to drag around with you, so only use it when absolutely required! ;)

Pick a Pillow, Win a Membership

I might almost get jealous over this post Barry wrote, if I didn’t know the challenges he’s had in finding the perfect pillow.

Yeah, in some ways the journey is like finding the perfect partner.

“What’s the big deal about pillows?” you might ask.

But if you’ve ever suffered from a headache or crick in your neck after sleeping on the wrong one, you’ll know exactly why he made this impassioned plea.

And if you help him out, you have a chance to win a one-year membership to The Wealth Vault, our insiders’ passive-investing club.

Doubling His Age Overnight

Last night Konan went to bed a one-year-old, and woke up a two-year-old.

It’s the only time in our lives we can double our ages overnight.

Here he is enjoying his 2nd birthday cake, mastering the use of a fork (unlike last year when it was all about fists and fingers).

They call this the “terrible twos,” but I’ve been advised by moms who have been there that it’s actually a wonderful year when kids finally learn about their independence and discover how to stand in their own truths.

So happy birthday and happy independence day, Konan… and many, many more years of learning, growing and developing through this thing we call “life”.

The Truth About “Money” Problems

These days, a lot of people complain about money problems.

Barry tackled the issue in his latest post for our LWL Worldwide blog, pointing out some key mindset blocks, tips for making more, and sharing an inspiring video.

The video’s promoting a TV show, but it still gets to the heart of the emotions involved in drive and determination.

Read the full article here and watch the video here: Why People Have Money Problems.

How to Turn Victimitis Thinking Upside Down

How often have you sat on the couch wondering why life couldn’t be better?

How often have you used what you learned on the couch to get out and make a difference in the world?

And how often have you knocked on doors, deftly persuading the person who opened it to give you an opportunity you deserved?

I just wrote a blog post on the LWL Worldwide blog that talks about all those things, including how you can go from the former to the latter.

Read the entire article here: From Victim to Persuader.

The universe is waiting to give you what you want… and now’s the time to take it.

Cost-Effective, Convenient, Customizable, Compact Chameleon Cosmetics

I have a confession to make: I love makeup.

I wear a lot less of it than I used to. My husband thinks I look better without it (lucky me!) and I finally believe it. Besides that, being mother to a toddler just doesn’t lend itself to spending a lot of time in front of the mirror.

So my days of replicating Hollywood glamor looks are nearly as far behind me as my years spent wearing Daisy Dukes and push-up bras (and not much else) behind the bar in popular night clubs.

But I’ve found that the best “no-makeup” look usually involves just enough, strategically applied to look natural and add a touch of color or sparkle.

In today’s economy, we all want things that are cost-effective. I also get a kick out of things that are customizable, and can change like a chameleon to be used for different purposes. Of course, portable is essential to help us remain fuss-free while on the go…

When Can You Start?

When is the best time to start a new habit, or make a change for the better?

As I say in my latest article on Life As A Human:

“It seems that many of us are always waiting for a ‘special’ time to start something new, even though we know it’s something that we need to, and even want to do.”

But really, what are you waiting for?

Top 10 Dorm Essentials Checklist

If your child is entering college this year, it’s a huge milestone — for you and for him. This step represents your little bird growing up and leaving the nest, and that can bring mixed feelings of pride, joy, sadness and fear from both of you.

Of course, not everybody needs to go to college. There are tons of success stories out there of people who have accomplished great things without it.

But some kids learn a lot from the experience — maybe even more than they learn from their classes.

If she’s moving out for the first time, it may seem like there’s so much to do, and not enough time to accomplish it. To make matters worse, it’s easy to become confused about what, and how much, should be brought to the new residence.

Being prepared can make the transition easier, so to help you out I’ve prepared my checklist of Top 10 Dorm Essentials:

Purpose-Driven Breakthroughs

Breakthroughs come in all kinds of unexpected ways.

This past weekend, for example, Barry and I experienced a breakthrough in our relationship that came just when we were taking a plunge down the roller coaster ride of life. We felt like we were going to keep racing further down… and instead we took a sharp turn upwards.

It’s inevitable that we experience ups and downs in life — after all, as we’re always saying, the Universe exists in complete balance.

Unfortunately, knowing that doesn’t really make the downs much easier to deal with, does it? But tapping in to your superhuman drive, which takes charge when you’re determined to get out of a dark ditch and shed some light on a situation, can.

Funny thing is, you can’t usually get out of that ditch by scrambling. It’s more effective to quiet those panicky emotions, take a step back, and look at the big picture — even as far as seeing your life’s purpose.

That’s essentially what Barry and I ended up doing, which led to the first amazingly inspiring breakthrough…
