Personal Development for your Child

I think it’s really sad that kids don’t get taught the basic of personal development in school, and adults who discover it often act like kids — not doing what they know needs to be done, refusing to take personal responsibility, and sabotaging themselves.

If every child could learn some of the basics early on, they’d grow up to be a lot better off; more accomplished, more confident, and more emotionally intelligent; and adults wouldn’t sabotage their personal development efforts, because it would be second hat by then.

Start this new school year out right. Find out how to Teach Your Child Personal Development in my article on Education.com

The Wealth of Health

Yeah, I know, it’s hard to find time these days to be healthy. Hard to find time to exercise, and hard to find time to cook healthy food. Hey, as much as I know the benefits of pure, home-cooked food rather than pre-packaged (and I can bake a mean chicken breast, while Barry’s a steak-grillin’ whiz), we too often end up eating preservative-laden meals that can be popped in the microwave, or even the dreaded fast food.

But it’s important to take self-accountability for your health.

  • If you don’t have a fun exercise routine that gets results, that’s your own fault.
  • If you find yourself consuming junk more often than nutritious wholesome food, that’s your own fault.

Your body is your most prized possession while you’re here living this life.

Health is its own form of wealth, and physical health is just as important as mental and spiritual health… yet some people put it in last place.

Ya know, there’s a reason people say, “As long as you’ve got your health…”

Now, I don’t subscribe to the notion that monetary wealth doesn’t matter “as long as you’ve got your health.” All kinds of wealth are important, and monetary wealth gives you the time freedom to pursue physical health more conscientiously.

I’m just saying that too many of us tell physical health to get in the back seat.

One key that’s often missing, that can help you achieve your physical goals, is the role of the brain.

If you don’t engage and stimulate your brain with exciting and fun workouts, of course you don’t want to do them. If you don’t tantalize your brain with bold, tasty dishes, of course you don’t want to eat them.

Another way to utilize your brain in your health goals is through brainwave entrainment.

Barry and I just found a new site with some quality brainwave entrainment audios. They’re based on binaural beats, so you have to listen with stereo headphones — but they’re designed to deliver some top results as you silently meditate, by cleansing your mind, removing negative vibrations, and rejuvenating your optimism and confidence.

That increases your concentration and memory power, while prepping your body for optimal health or other functions, depending on what recording you pick. But they’re priced so reasonably, you’ll probably want a few.

The audio mix is very relaxing, with nature sounds and music mixed in for a multi-level auditory experience that I like a lot.

They call the company Unexplainable… but the results are actually explainable through science (I’m not going to unwrap that mystery of life today… you can see more on their site, though).

Check out the Overall Good Health audio, available for immediate download, as well as the other recordings… topics include manifestation, past life regression, ESP, meditation, creativity, weight loss, prosperity, and a whole lot more.

Super Swim Champ

Last week I told you how Konan was getting out of his comfort zone by taking swimming lessons.

Yes, he was scared to try something new… like all of us are.

And it sure was hard to watch him go through it when he cried!

But by the end, he knew how to totally relax while floating on his back, and how to turn from front to back after entering the water.

At 10 months old (just today), he was the youngest in his class by far, and held his own against all the 3-year-olds.

Sure, his skill level wasn’t as advanced as theirs… but he’s a winner because he progressed beyond what he could do before.

That’s why he deserves to wear this star that was given to him for graduating from the class.

You go, Konan — you’re a star, and this is just the first of many awards, medals and trophies you’ll receive!

Daddy and I are proud of you!

Healthy Coffee Without the MLM

I’ve just been sitting here drinking a cup of “healthy” Ganoderma Coffee. You’ve probably heard a lot of hype lately around this lately, and maybe even been courted to join an MLM program to get it.

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with the MLM model — I’ve never been actively involved in it, but I’ve been along for the ride with Barry, who has quite a bit of experience. The problem I see with it is that it can be a hollow business model if you don’t have both consumers and biz opp seekers in your downline… and the latter need to be both, but they are purchasing the product for the biz opp, not necessarily because they love the product.

Of course the products, to support the business model, are high-priced. That doesn’t make them bad products… but the best always become available through other means eventually. Just check your health food store for all the noni, goji, açai, and so forth.

For myself, I’d rather save money on the products, buy what I want when I want, and if I choose to promote something through referral marketing… let my customers do the same thing.

See, “referral marketing” can be network marketing, or it can be affiliate marketing. The first costs you money and has minimums to buy, the second costs you nothing unless you choose to buy…

And the products — the ultimate litmus test — are often just as good either way…

Turning Dreams Into Reality

10 years ago, I met and interviewed a woman for the first of several times…

Her name is Diane Dupuy, and she’s an amazing example of forging through life, no matter what roadblocks stand in the way, and turning seemingly impossible dreams into reality.

Not just her own dreams… but those of people who would normally never be given a chance.

So what do they do? Make their own opportunities.

Read Diane’s story in our latest Hidden Heroes post on the LWL Worldwide blog

Happy Birthday Barry!

Today was the big 4-0 for Barry… and since I think the milestone birthdays that end in a “0″ are a big deal, I took him on a special surprise journey.

Our neighbors sat with Konan (the longest time he’s ever been away from us, and he was a perfect little angel the whole time!) and our adventure began.

Barry had no clue until we got there what was going to happen… I let him guess, but he kept thinking it was something else.

The truth? We went to Ashland to the Waterstone Spa, and had a nice lunch (the best salad and sandwich EVER!) followed by a two-person Japanese bath, side-by-side deep tissue massages, and a sauna together.

If you’ve never had the experience of side-by-side massages, or a private sauna, I highly recommend it!

And if you happen to be in Southern Oregon, you can’t go wrong with the Waterstone. Very friendly staff, good massage therapists, privacy, and no extra fee for the “Duet Room”.

What better way to turn 40?

Kids’ Birthday Cake Ideas

Konan’s first birthday is in just a few months, and apparently it’s tradition for a one-year-old to eat a piece of birthday cake. I asked his pediatrician today at his 9-month check-up, and he confirmed that his kids ate cake on that first birthday too.

I think I’ll make Konan a healthy cake, since I’ve been feeding him homemade baby food instead of store-bought stuff. Maybe a nice carrot or banana cake.

And I’ve got a lot more ideas now about birthday themes, since I just wrote a bunch of articles for eHow on different kids’ birthday cake ideas:

Monkey Birthday Cake Ideas

Tigger & Pooh Birthday Cake Ideas

Webkinz Birthday Cake Ideas

Pirate Ship Birthday Cake Ideas

Luau Birthday Cake Ideas

Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Cake Ideas

I might save these ideas for future birthdays, rather than Konan’s first one, but I’ll figure it out closer to the day…

How To Bust Loose From the Business Game

If you’ve been hanging around me for a few years, you might remember when I interviewed Robert Scheinfeld, and he talked about The Human Game — the reason we’re here on this planet — in ways you had likely never heard things said before.

And then he told you how you could start “busting loose” from the Money Game.

At the time, he completely flipped around a lot of the preconceived ideas I had about manifestation and how we create our personal realities.

Well, now he’s got a new book out called “Busting Loose From The Business Game” that promises to help you achieve radical results in your business life.

See, if you’re an entrepreneur or business person, or you’ve been working in any capacity, you’ve been playing what Robert calls “The Old Business Game”.

Just like a lot of “old ways” of doing things, that’s a losing way to play.

Robert’s new book is about finally winning, by playing “The New Business Game”.

> It’s rooted in metaphysics… likely on a different level than you’ve experienced before.

> It will shift your paradigm and your beliefs about what’s possible.

> It will help you out if you’re currently struggling.

> It will guide you do better if you’re currently doing okay.

> It will allow you have more fun if you’re currently doing well.

Basically, however you’re experiencing the Business Game now will become a much better journey after you read Robert’s book.

And if you buy the book this week only, you’ll get some extra tools from Robert that will support and guide you even more as you approach this New Business Game, and start playing to win.

Get your copy of Busting Loose From the Business Game, your “Busting Loose Fast Start Toolkit”, and more by reading Robert’s message here.

P.S. If you didn’t get your free report from us about passive income yet, you’re about to discover even more that goes way beyond what you’ve been taught before… and why the “new way” of approaching wealth building is the way to go.

This one’s about the physical, rather than the metaphysical, side of the equation.  Don’t you love how they go so well together?

Make Money Without Selling… Free Video Shows How

About a month or so back, Barry and I watched this entire video and got some great tips to revamp certain aspects of our business.

See, with the economy the way it is, people aren’t so attracted to “buying” something anymore… but they sure do appreciate something of value for free!

So, do you think you can give away some free CDs or DVDs?

Cool!

Do you think you can make money at it?

If you’re not sure… you need to watch this video now.

But be sure to set aside some time, because it’s all content and it’s almost an hour long.

Trust me, though, it’s worth it.

You’ll also want to see Video #2 which you can get on the next page, but I’d recommend watching Video #1 first for the meat, and then Video #2 for some inspiration.

And don’t forget to look for your chance to get a free pre-loaded MP3 (seriously! It’s at the end of the report that goes with Video #2), or win a free course just by leaving a blog comment.

It’s all right here, right now.

Keep Unwrapping Your Success!

P.S. I know the best way for doing this whole thing easily with one integrated system — it’s the one we have, and the same system Russell himself uses — and I’ll tell you about it in a day or two.
