Are You a Visionary or a Fraud?

They say we should all teach what we need to know, rather than just what we already know.

And, like everything “they say”, it can be empowering or detrimental, to yourself and others, depending on how literally you take it.

For instance… the concept of “acting as if”, or “fake it till you make it” can be very powerful. If you “be” what you want, and “do” what it takes to get there, you can “have” whatever it is that much quicker.

This be-do-have principle says that if you want to be a singer, you tell the world you’re a singer, and then you sing your little butt off as you practice every day, and then you become a talented singer who can carry a tune across the country and back, smiling every step of the way as you entertain everyone you meet.

And from a journalistic perspective, it also makes perfect sense. If you enjoy investigating and learning what you need to know, and then passing those gems of knowledge on to others by publishing or producing something they can benefit from, you’re empowering yourself and your audience.

For instance, I’ve been writing a lot of parenting articles lately, as you can see from my portfolio. But I’m not claiming to be a parenting expert… I’ve only been a parent for 10 months! What I am claiming to be is a writer who is passionate about researching and discovering new things that can help me on this parenting journey, and sharing that treasure with others in the same boat.

Yes, it’s “teaching”… but I’m not really the “teacher”.

Make Money Without Selling… Free Video Shows How

About a month or so back, Barry and I watched this entire video and got some great tips to revamp certain aspects of our business.

See, with the economy the way it is, people aren’t so attracted to “buying” something anymore… but they sure do appreciate something of value for free!

So, do you think you can give away some free CDs or DVDs?

Cool!

Do you think you can make money at it?

If you’re not sure… you need to watch this video now.

But be sure to set aside some time, because it’s all content and it’s almost an hour long.

Trust me, though, it’s worth it.

You’ll also want to see Video #2 which you can get on the next page, but I’d recommend watching Video #1 first for the meat, and then Video #2 for some inspiration.

And don’t forget to look for your chance to get a free pre-loaded MP3 (seriously! It’s at the end of the report that goes with Video #2), or win a free course just by leaving a blog comment.

It’s all right here, right now.

P.S. I know the best way for doing this whole thing easily with one integrated system — it’s the one we have, and the same system Russell himself uses — and I’ll tell you about it in a day or two.

What Happens If You See, Hear, And Speak No Evil?

You hear the phrase, you see the monkeys, you speak it like it’s a life-saving mantra…

But by saying, “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” are you doing yourself good… or “evil”?

Hmmm… that’s a brain twister.

Find out what Barry and I think about it on the LWL Worldwide blog.

You’re Not All That… But You Can Be!

Larry Winget

For the past few weeks, I’ve been reading some books with some pretty harsh titles.

But hey, Barry and I love that… sometimes people just don’t need to be told how powerful and perfect they are, because it just lets them settle into a comfort zone.

In order to achieve the most they can, sometimes people need to be told, “Here’s how you messed up… and here’s how to fix it!”

So I’ve been reading Larry Winget’s books that he sent us in preparation of our upcoming interview:

  • Shut Up, Stop Whining And Get A Life: A Kick-Butt Approach to a Better Life
  • It’s Called Work For A Reason: Your Success Is Your Own Damn Fault
  • You’re Broke Because You Want To Be: How to Stop Getting By and Start Getting Ahead
  • People Are Idiots And I Can Prove It: The 10 Ways You Are Sabotaging Yourself and How You Can Overcome Them.

I met Larry on Facebook, and asked him for an interview… he said yes, and we’re doing it on January 15th.

A few years ago, I used MySpace to book interviews with people that I couldn’t contact by email.  But MySpace has run its course of effectiveness for that lately.

People I know are even shutting down their MySpace accounts because of all the spam (I’m keeping mine up, because it’s still a source of backlinks from an authority site… but I almost never log in anymore).

Next I’ll be using Twitter to set up interviews, since it’s fast and interactive. Yes, the social media landscape keeps changing, and I have to change my tactics to go along with it.

But back to Larry Winget… they call him the Pitbull of Personal Development for a reason, and we’re looking forward to taking on those teeth!

To find out more about the interview, and sign up to be part of the free live audience, check out our LWL blog post about Larry.

Banish Fear, Anxiety and Worry!

Let’s face it…

You can’t face the future until you control your fears, and that’s the NUMBER ONE problem most entrepreneurs have that holds them back from the success they deserve.

Fear of not growing. Fear of missing out. Fear of failure. And yes, even the seemingly silly (yet ever-so-present) fear of success! (And that’s really a fear of the unknown, or a fear of things not staying the same… a fear of leaving the comfort zone.)

Now, IF you struggle with fear, anxiety, panic, or worry, Barry and I found a site that will really help you out. Banish your fears by clicking here.

Whether it be passing fears that force you not to act, or full-blown panic attacks, this site has some valuable advice (at least sign up for the free e-course. I just read the first lesson and the tips are something you can use for the rest of your life!)

Most of us do have fears on some level that we deal with on a daily basis.

I remember when I was afraid to act on stage. I loved the camera, but live audiences were another story. Then I was fine with acting, because I could play a character, but I couldn’t give a speech or talk about myself.  My voice would quiver, my hands would sweat, my heart would thump, and my face would flush.

Then I went to Toastmasters for two years, got the highest award level possible (the Distinguished Toastmaster, or DTM), and overcame those fears too.

Then it was a fear of doing my first live teleseminar (which I obviously did anyhow, and many more to follow). And a fear of speaking in front of other internet marketers, in case they knew more than I did (but I overcame that one too).

So fears are normal, but if they hold you back, you need to face them and overcome them…

Time-Saving Tools 4 U

Sometimes it seems like marketing online takes an engineering degree, doesn’t it?

I mean, you’ll find lots of experts that will tell you they do it all themselves, and you get the impression that you have to do it all too… that not only is it essential to build a list, but to get that done you also must build your own webpages, edit your own HTML, install your own testing and tracking software, and so on and so forth.

Lead Page Generator

But what if I told you that wasn’t the case… and that I have three tools to make marketing life much easier for you?

Tool #1) Lead Page Generator

In fact, what if I told you that Barry and I just found the ultimate lead capture page builder that does it all for you, in about 5 minutes, including all the testing and tracking you’ll ever need to ensure you have the most effective landing pages possible?

But wait, it gets even better… this cool new tool, LeadPageGenerator 4.0 also “customizes” and “personalizes” your opt-in page for you, Web 2.0-style!

I’ve interviewed several top marketers who have done their own testing, and claim that personalizing your page increases conversions many times over.  Things like having the prospect’s name appear on the page, AND responding to their personal choices that they enter themselves.

Basically, it allows them to tell you what buying triggers would make them buy from your website… and it allows you to offer them exactly that!

So using LeadPageGenerator 4.0 can put your list-building efforts into hyper-overdrive, with just a few minutes of your own effort!

And you can bet your bottom dollar that Barry and I will be using this service for our squeeze pages from now on.

Why?

Because it will save us time, AND money! It’s all about leverage, baby! ;)

For two more cool marketing tools…

Free Training, Free Corvette?

Russell Brunson is a typical guy.Russell Brunson

An ex-wrestler (high school and college) who, not so long ago, lived in a tiny shack of a house with his wife and made potato guns for fun.  You wouldn’t have looked at him then and said, “Wow, that’s a future millionaire!” or even, “There’s the next successful entrepreneur!”

In fact, you wouldn’t look at him today and say, “Wow, that’s a millionaire!” (which is actually true of most millionaires I’ve met).

But you can’t judge a book by its cover, and I love how that fact will prove itself to you again and again in life, no matter how you wish you could! ;)

See, Russell makes millions of dollars a year online, and lives with his family in a breathtaking 11,000 square foot mansion. He’s the epitome of what most of us would call “successful”.

Yes, sweet!

I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing Russell, and he’s the real deal.  No hype, no BS, just a down-to-earth guy who’s figured out how to make it.

DotComSecrets ContestNow he wants you to succeed too… he’s just launched a contest called the $100 Million Dollar Challenge where you get training at no cost… and can even win a brand new Corvette, delivered to your door by Russell himself!

If you’ve been struggling with your online business, then you need to check out what Russell has to say in this video (as well as his students… pretty impressive!)

Plus, hey… you can’t beat the price!

Russell’s also donating proceeds from the contest to World Teacher Aid — which helps to bring education to children in third-world countries.

So you can help yourself while you help others too!
