Well, as my belly continues to grow (faster than ever now), and it’s starting to look like I swallowed a melon or something, it’s fascinating to witness the changes that a human body goes through while nurturing another living being inside.
Here I am at 28 weeks pregnant, in our backyard (the English-style garden looked a little better when the flowers were blooming, but I love it anyhow).
And while sometimes the belly seems to be getting in the way (I forget it’s there when I lean over a counter, for instance, or try to navigate my way around the chairs at the patio table), it’s apparently just perfect… exactly as it should be.
And my OB-GYN says it’s a “very cute” belly… not too big, no strange marks or patterns, and it hasn’t taken over my hips or other body parts at all.
A doctor-endorsed belly… well, who could ask for more? 😉
