New Year, New Post, New Beginnings

Barry and Heather - New Year's EveIt’s a new year… and the third year I’ve been posting articles on this blog.

Here’s a picture of Barry and I last night, getting ready to head out on the town and ring in the new year together.

Why do we approach the New Year as a new beginning, when any month, any week, any day, and in fact any moment can be a new beginning if we choose to let it be?

Mainly because it’s convenient, and because it’s metaphorical.

The year begins now because some people many years ago decided that it would. But we know that the Chinese New Year is in a few weeks, and Jewish New Year is in the fall, so it’s really not about the actual day or time of year.

But when we change the year that we write or see every day — on letters, on emails, on calendars, on checks — we feel like it’s a new start, a new reality.

And we know that the FEELING is the most important thing when it comes to manifesting the reality you want to create.

So how can you create the 2008 that you want to have?

First of all, one of the best manifesting tools we’ve come across the whole year is Mind Movies. It takes away the stumbling blocks that many people have with visualization and emotionalizing by combining pictures you choose, words you write, and music that gets you jacked up. All you do is watch your movie — or a pre-created one — daily to get your thoughts and emotions in line with what you want to create.

Here’s an example called “Heather’s Mind Movie” — it’s not mine, but I do resonate with it:

Another good manifestation tool, if you are good with visualization and tapping into your source for answers, is the brainwave entrainment meditation audio. There are a lot of different audios out there, but most of them have annoying bleeps and noise; Harmonic Ascension has the only music-based brainwave entrainments, and they’re so inspiring and effective that my massage therapist has started playing them in her clinic.

You can get a free membership with some sample audios to try it out before purchasing a lifetime membership if you like.

So here’s the basic future-creation game plan:

1. Choose a tool you like to help you access the deeper parts of your consciousness; Mind Movies or Harmonic Ascension brainwave entrainments are my favorites.

2. Think about the reality you want to create; write it down if it helps you (and it does seem to help most people). Where will you live? Who will you live with? What will you do? How much money will you make? Think about health and wealth in all areas of your life.

3. Apply the law of attraction by “raising your vibration” around that reality, which means basically to get emotionally jacked up, excited and happy about it. Mind Movies help a lot with this step if you find it difficult to make your emotions kick in over something that hasn’t happened yet.

4. Don’t get attached to the outcome — one reason that traditional time-bound and specific goals often don’t work. If you like to have structure, go ahead and write down the specifics, knowing you’ll be flexible with how and when it actually happens. If you don’t like being restricted, don’t bother writing down your goals or putting deadlines on them.

5. Enjoy the journey as much as the destination, including both the ups and downs.

Hopefully this little guideline will help you make 2008 your best year yet… and allow you to continue that trend in future years as well.

Keep Unwrapping the Mysteries of Life,

Heather Vale
