Sometimes all you need to know is that there WILL be better days.
“I need some place simple where we could live,
And something only you can give,
And that’s faith and trust and peace while we’re alive.
And the one poor child who saved this world,
And there’s ten million more who probably could,
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them.
So take these words and sing out loud,
‘Cause everyone is forgiven now,
‘Cause tonight’s the night the world begins again.
I wish everyone was loved tonight,
And somehow stop this endless fight.
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days.”

Where am I? Here. What time is it? Now.
Staying in the present can be powerful, and this can help…
“I was alive and I waited, waited,
I was alive and I waited for this.
Right here, right now,
There is no other place I want to be,
Right here, right now,
Watching the world wake up from history.”
- Jesus Jones, Right Here, Right Now

What would you do differently… If Today Was Your Last Day?
Certainly worthy of pondering every now and then:
“Against the grain should be a way of life,
What’s worth the price is always worth the fight.
Every second counts ’cause there’s no second try,
So live like you’re never living twice.
Don’t take the free ride in your own life.
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late,
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had?”

If you need motivation to wrap up the end of the week, have a listen to these lyrics… and sing it at the top of your lungs with the video below:
“Standin’ on broken dreams, never losin’ sight, ah…
Well, just spread your wings.
We’ll get higher and higher, straight up we’ll climb.
We’ll get higher and higher, leave it all behind.
So baby, dry your eyes, Save all the tears you’ve cried,
Oh, that’s what dreams are made of.
‘Cause we belong in a world that must be strong,
Oh, that’s what dreams are made of.”

We all find ourselves in situations where we say the wrong thing.
It could be to your co-worker, your friend, or somebody in your family…
But the worst thing is when it’s with your spouse or partner.
Did you know that most couples don’t know the mistakes they’re making when they communicate?
And of those who do know, most don’t know how to say the right thing… they just know when they’re saying the wrong thing?
I just posted an article on the LWL Worldwide blog that talks about exactly that, with a quality resource that has been really valuable to me — and can hopefully help you out, too.

Thanks to Mari Smith for providing a new high-tech resource you can use, for free, to bring your business card or resource into the smartphone age.
It’s called uQR.me, and it makes a QR (Quick Response) code that can be scanned by any smartphone. It then takes the user to any link or document of your choice, and you can change it any time.
Kinda like your own personal bar code.
You can test mine out below by holding your smartphone up to the image:

Cool, huh?

One thing I’m noticing more and more on social networks like Facebook is the tendency it has to turn rational, intelligent adults into gushing, fawning groupies.
And I’m not just talking about how being contacted with a friend request from an old high school crush can cause many people to dredge up those awkward old feelings, as pointed out in a blog post by Kristen Nicole more than 18 months ago.
“In part due to the fact that anyone could join, and in part due to the fact that Facebook really is a good way to reconnect with and stay connected to friends, Facebook has become the dominant social network of the times. But does Facebook just make us all act like silly teenagers?” she asks.
No, what I’m seeing is a tendency for people to post comments on the profiles and pages of relatively well-known professionals (think authors, speakers, marketers, bloggers, and others who have some sort of online presence) in a way that makes the commenter seem almost brainless…

Today is St. Patrick’s Day, a day typically associated with “luck”.
Of course, luck is more of a mindset than anything. If you feel lucky, you are lucky.
Some say LUCK stands for “Laboring Under Correct Knowledge.” Some say it’s based on the energy vibration you hold.
But what’s the significance of the “lucky” four-leaf clover? It’s rare to find one in nature, which makes it lucky in its uniqueness.
But the four leaves are said to represent four desirable qualities:
1. Hope
2. Faith
3. Love
4. Happiness
Conversely, we could say they represent the four parts of us: Body, Spirit, Mind and Emotions (thanks to Bob Hoffman for mapping out this Quadrinity).
Either way, it’s a symbol that can provoke thoughtfulness, wholeness, betterment and joyful contemplation.
And it’s entirely found within yourself. That, to me, is lucky in itself.

It’s easy to complain about life instead of choosing to make it better.
But no matter how bad things can seem for you — bad times, bad economy, bad weather, bad kids or whatever — I’ll bet it’s amazing compared to what others are going through.
It’s all in the perspective.
For example, a devastating earthquake has just rocked the northeast coast of Japan, with a magnitude of 8.9. That’s the fifth strongest quake in the world since 1900, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s Earthquake Information Center.
You can see some photos of the destruction here.
With hundreds dead, buildings collapsed, cars smashed and boats swept off by tsunami waves, chances are the people of Japan are going through harder times than you right now… and as our Wealth Vault members heard this morning, I and the entire LWL team send our sincere condolences and genuine thoughts of strength.
As for you…
Happiness is a choice, and that fact is highlighted in a somewhat silly but powerful way in Bobby McFerrin’s old hit, Don’t Worry, Be Happy.
Bobby turns 61 today, and to celebrate his birthday, I encourage you to watch the video, and think about how you can apply the message to your life:
